Okay, upon further examination:
1. The patches are just standard tan, nothing too outrageous (although I agree that blue or red would be better)
2. It's at least a little bit more versatile than I originally thought.
But...
1. It's more interesting/exciting, but too similar overall to a glen plaid suit I already have. And...

2. Yeah, it's comically short. Not sure what I was thinking before, but it was obvious once I tried it on with more suit-like apparel. Apologies for the crappy photo, but I was nervous, and I think it gets the idea across anyway.
Thanks for the input, but the decision is not to kop...so, the search for tweed (which is what I was really looking for before I got distracted) continues.
