Would you kop this jacket?

Found this in "T.K. Maxx" tonight:

261

It's not quite as yellow in person as the picture makes it look. The lining is an iridescent orange/purple that is every bit as psychedelic as it sounds (maaaaan). It fits well...some people here would say (quite rightly) that it's too short over all, but I kinda like it that way. Wasn't quite brave enough to snap a pic of myself in it.

I know I like it, but I'm not quite sure if I'm brave enough for it...or what I'd wear it with. So, I'm looking for tips. The main/best overall idea I've had from clothes that I already own would be to wear it with charcoal flannel trousers, a light blue shirt, a dark grey/tan/orange woven tie, and my walnut AE strands. I'm blonde/blue-eyed, so I think the colors complement my features overall. It's pretty cheap at 80 Euros.

So...thoughts? Tips?

Thanks!

I'm not a big fan of yellow to be honest. I would pick this up if it were red or blue.

If you love it then fuck what SF thinks, buy it.

If you don't feel like throwing everything else to the winds and buying it, it wasn't for you anyway.

Totally agree with the above, thank you! smile.gif

But I want to avoid buying it and then realizing it's not very versatile. I feel like I can get 1-2 pretty good (not very different) looks out of it right now. Maybe it would inspire me to buy some corduroy trousers. But what kind of thing would you guys pair this with? And the elbow pads are not quite as yellow as they look in the picture. Maybe a little more tan/camel/orange. But they're definitely out there.

They're closed on Sundays so I'll have to sit on my hands and think about it for a couple days, anyway...but meanwhile no one else can steal it out from under me while I ruminate on it.

Thanks,

GS

Well it's definitely not very versatile. The loud colour precludes wearing it on a daily basis. But if you can find the right time and place to wear it on occasion then go for it. I'd wear that to a fall casual event in a second.

I'd leave it on the rack, but thats me.

If it is not too expensive and you can take the arm patches off, I would say yes.

The patches kill it.

i like it.
agree that id like it better if it was red or blue instead of yellow.
but depending on fit, it might be a good look.

DAMMIT! I wondered about that...now I have embarrassed myself in public. Thread title updated. Oh well. "Now I know, and knowing's half the battle."
