Daily 'Uniforms'

Thread Starter

I've been thinking about becoming a 'uniform' guy recently. Not necessarily along these lines in terms of strictness, but just as a way to really nail down a look and simplify my closet.

I suppose the easiest casual thing to do is a T-shirt and Jeans everyday. Then you have space to play with shoes, belt, sweaters, outerwear, etc. Tried-and-true.

Or a OCBD and khakis, whatever works. Just doing something everyday with a little mix-and-match.

My thoughts are that if you simplify what items you wear, you can focus on the details

I'm not sure I could give up the variety I enjoy for consistency and ease, but I'm still contemplating it.

Any of you have daily uniforms (or just a casual, non-office uniform)? Or maybe just a very consistent style? Any thoughts on the subject?

Found SF as a total noob. I do simple because it's harder to mess up while giving myself a base to build off of and keeps me from buying frivolous things I'll end up regretting. Gives me time to really think about what pieces I want to get next and what direction I want to move in, while giving me the challenge of working new clothing into an old and boring wardrobe.

For now, it's T or OBCD + jeans + gats. The colder weather has necessarily made me pick up other stuff. Hell, I only have about 10 button downs and think I need to unload some.

Another option, if you really hate thinking about things, and love a certain brand, is just to buy everything from that brand. No need to look simplified...
