Re: OP, had originally planned to get some Merry Edwards Pinot Noir, but folks here (including kwilk) suggested it might be too heavy. I think I'm going to go champagne. Also, my friend might be bringing some Peter Michael pinot noir, which I'm excited to try.

Shit man, the friend didn't bring the Peter Michael--she brought some shitty wine instead. She's been going through a break-up, so I just figured she downed the wine herself in an hour of despair or something. I didn't bring it up.
