The trick is to align the photos well and to not overdo the effects. Also, not every scene warrants the use of HDR. This one, for example, had a lot of contrasting colors and some texture in the sky, so an HDR was nice. As a tip, use Photoshop's auto-align instead of the HDR-making program's. After PS aligned the photos, then add the effect. I prefer to use Dynamic HDR-Photo.
