Post your photography skills! (self-gloss) - Page 263

nikos, agreed. This was my first time shooting the camera, I had the lens correction on but yeah that pole is pretty obvious.

EDIT: I just was editing another photo and hit the lens profile and noticed the pole bent when I hit the button so I turned down the distortion control because it was bending the pole. That must have been it.

TRINI, indeed! I've been through the whole huge dslr package and it shot really well but i never got to use it for what I wanted (photo journalism, travel, street) since it was so large and heavy.

I do fashion/art with a lot of film photography and polaroids. If you like, visit my facebook fan page which has pretty much all my (good) stuff.

I like lens distortion to a degree. Then again that just might be something I've learned to accept from all those film years.

Things have been rough around my neck of the woods today.

^^ same, my friend up in OKC had that tornado go through his neighborhood and level half of it.

on another note I hate the new look of flickr. :/

^^^Stay safe. I'm so glad I don't live in tornado country, but I don't get to photograph interesting weather either. I took my little Sony rx100 to Muir Woods for a short hike on Sunday since the weather was so warm. I think it's the perfect size for hiking.

I read that as "my friend up in OKCupid...". Tz tz tz.

Yes, the new flickr sucks. Also increased the amount of clicks to see the EXIF of a picture. I'm often interested in focal length and aperture of the pictures.

Gahhh, the new Flickr blows.

I did a writeup/review of sorts on one of these Midori notebooks.

nice photo crane, and agreed i hate it (flickrs new layout not the picture lol)

I rented a 18.5mm 1.8

@ Alex99, that first picture looks like a scene from King Kong.

@Crane, is that a Minolta XK?

@Ciclista, I was going to comment on the pictures but I'm just intrigued by that Super big Gulp, what size is that, it looks utterly massive.

Just got a lens hood for my Konica 40mm F1.8, not so pancake no more now but I always bump into things so I had to protect that sweet little lens.

(It matches way too good with my old but perfect tripod.)

Yes it is Laurens. It's one of the early models and it's been recently CLAed so it should be good for another 20 or 30 years. LOL! If you know anyone who has an AE-S finder or a clean working XK motor drive with that finder I'm interested in buying it. The AE-S finder is much more advanced and responsive than the stock AE finder. Especially in low light conditions. Of course I do have several good light meters so it's really not an issue. I guess that might be the Minolta collector in me that's talking too. LOL!

.
Cellphone pic...but I like it, snapped this on the job a few weeks ago. A few minutes after this photo was taken, it rained around 1.5" within 30 min! Those are pretty big waves in this photo...five minutes before calm as could be.
