I can thank the incredibly shitty and gloomy weather for that effect, it was foggy and rainy the entire week of my vacation back then.
Did provide some interesting lighting
If you squint hard you can see La Défense and La Grande Arche de la Fraternité
Hey IC, I found a couple more lenses while wandering around in another junk shop. One of them is a real oddball. It's an early Promaster MC 28-70mm f2.8 fast focus macro zoom with a 72mm filter diameter. I know they are nothing but a rebrander so I went looking through pretty much all of the lens makers offerings for the time period and can find nothing close to this lens. I guess I should run it through it's paces and see what happens. It might just be one of those oddball obscure gems that slipped through the cracks. Hell for what I paid for the lens I couldn't buy the UV filter that's on it. I like buying filters and finding a lens attached to it. LOL!
Nice shot Streetlight
Nikkor 50mm f/2, the old two-tone version. Might have been the standard lens but it's very sharp and so nice to focus.
Promaster sounds so dodgy. Rebranded Vivitar/Tokina/cosina?
Yeah it does sound bad but some of their old lenses are solid performers. The rumor mill has just about every lens maker listed as possible suppliers for them. The lens I have is made of metal and is Minolta MD compatible. The closest thing I can find to this lens is something made by Minolta themselves or Sigma. It's nothing like any of the film SLR lenses they currently offer. Like I said I got it for about half the price of what the haze filter would cost to buy new.
Anyone tried the new Canon 6D? Semi thinking of getting a full frame dslr and my investment in Nikon gear isn't so much I couldnt still switch to Canon. Sorta prefer the stuff the Canon 5Ds generate vs Nikon D800/600
