So IC it looks like you're a Sony guy now. You'll like the NEX system. If you get a chance to mess with an RX1 or RX100 do so. I had a chance to play around with a 100 for a few hours. It's a P&S that I would use in a heartbeat for a job if my DSLRs took a dump on me. I'm waiting for the LCS to get an RX1 in and I'm thinking about renting it for a week even though that could prove to be extremely hazardous to my wallet.

Kaplan , he's not a fan of American porter?

Crane, it looks to be that way smile.gif my favorite part about it is it fits perfectly in my vest pocket. The iq is on par with anything else I've shot before, and the flash is bounceable so I'm happy with it. I just can't wait for my adapter to come in the mail for my 50 1.4 canon lens and my 28mm 2.8

Yeah the rx100 is really nice, I held it and its really solid. The r1 was nice too but out of my price range and fixed lens

It's more that he's on a quixote'ian crusade against anchors - expect a photoshop where it's replaced by brown horn ;-)

IC, congrats on your NEX-6. I rented one to try out, and thought it handled very nicely. I went with a 5n because I found one for really cheap used, and wanted to experiment with video, but its handling is definitely less convenient than the 6, mainly because it only has 1 dial. I also use my old Canon FD lenses on it, and often prefer them because I can directly change aperture on the lens, whereas a native E-mount lens with its electronic aperture control means I have to click on the dial before I can change the aperture because the same dial controls both shutter speed and aperture.

Thanks! Yeah I tried them both out and I didn't mind the one dial as I'm usually in aperture mode and just use one. I couldn't do without some sort of viewfinder though . I was tempted to get one for the price I even looked at the f3, which seems to do a but better in low light. The first thing I noticed was focus speed is considerably slower than my omd was . However it feels much nicer in my hand and controls are larger and don't get knocked about as easy. I guess it's a trade either way smile.gif I'm happy with it though, I really like the kit lens too which is suprising because they're usually not that great in build and quality

If you really want to cry IC go to the store and have them put the Zeiss 85 on the A77 and A99 and mess with that for a while. Set the shutter to continuous and hang on.

Focusing speed? What's that? smile.gif I'm surprised you traded in the OM-D for the Sony. If it weren't for video, I would have gotten the Olympus in a heartbeat. I also inadvertently press buttons with the palm of my hand on the Oly, but there are various grips that will fix that.

Well my hand was super cramped with the omd I just didn't have a connection with it either. It was just something about it I dunno. The buttons were so tiny on it and the menu was terrible. Like you said, I was constantly pressing things with my hands unintentionally . I think this one focuses fast enough but the DoF is much better.

How do you like that Helios? I need to get one the Bokeh is cool looking the way it kind of swirls.

I think you made the right choice for your situation il ciclista
