Another roll of Chinese film, composition is shitty but the colours this film puts out are so wack.

(That bike has been there for over four years now.)

Great song, one I did not know. What a great artist. I remember I was terrified of him when I was a child.

I moved office last week, behind me nothing but empty walls (actually I'm surrounded by frigging glass which makes me feel like everyone's watching me). So I decided instead of waiting until one of my colleagues buys me another HelloKitty calendar to hang, I get proactive and get something for my wall.

Ordered it in 30 x 45 cm on matt paper, it's my first print bigger than 10x15cm so I'm curious.

I come from a very modernized city, where places like this almost do not exist.. I was lucky enough to find it, and here are some images.

Went to the city again today, wanted to shoot one of the bridges while they have the Xmas decoration. Got lucky.

It's 'shopped from a ISO 100 / 30 sec exposure for the bridge + environment and a ISO 3200 / 1 sec exposure for the ship. I have to do it again in a cleaner way, it's more a proof of concept if the ship fits the image or not. Might also crop it a bit tighter.

Opinions? Better with or without the ship?

Leave the ship out. The reflections of light on the ship do not line up with the point of view.

I like the second image better. It has nothing to do with the ship, it has to do with the fact that number two looks a lot more balanced overall. The first image also has a bit of a tilt going on.

It's quite funny how the content of the picture seems to change the general perception. The reflections on the ship are 100% authentic plus it's shot from tripod, there's absolutely not the slightest change in angle, tilt or whatever between the pictures. I agree though that the one without the ship is somehow better, it feels more relaxed to me.

But here the two original exposures to compare. No straightening, no cropping, no nothing.

I prefer the ship version. I feel it makes it much more interesting. I might crop it, but just a little. I think the frame works fine as it is.

I like it w/o the ship. It throws off the balance for me. Everything has a symmetrical kind of balance and then there is that ship.
