My first real try at star photography. It's a composite of 28 exposures stacked together and highly processed. One thing for sure is the camera saw a lot more stars than I did. LOL! I'm going to try to get a stacked image of the Geminid meteor shower tonight. This image took 3 hours to process in a software package made for this kind of stuff. I'm estimating what I'll do tonight will consist of at least 250 pics. I better process tonight on the big computer or it might take a week to do.

mala that 50 1.2 is amazing, I love the DOF

Crane, nice sky...Even though the camera saw more than you at least you saw some! I don't see any at night. What's that glowing yellow thing on the right side?

dainese, r32? I like that 2nd to last shot of it. The first one is composed well but it looks too edited for my tastes as you can see what looks like halos, but my glasses may be off.

That glowing thing is Jupiter IC. The cluster of stars above it is the Seven Sisters star cluster (M45 or Pleiades cluster). I have another set of just the belt of Orion but I am not in the mood to process the stack. I'm itching for the meteor shower and want to get the show on the road. LOL!

Ah which version?

85LII... It's a good lens, but the AF hunts like crazy... Once you get the focus right though, it's an awesome lens!

Thanks Sir.
Yeah the first one is hdr, but I'm not very good at it. With my dad's tokina 11-16, at an abandoned car dealership in Sydney.

A Geminid meteor from the shower last night. These things are hard to capture!
