oh slide film would be fun, I'm a broke college student right now so digital is something I just have to work with for now. The price of developing, scanning, etc is pretty pricey. I still have a roll of Tri-X sitting at the developers lol they charge 12 bucks for just the development here. =/

Velvia is one of the slide slide films I'm going to mess with, the other is another Fuji product called Provia.

Just shot a roll of velvia 50. We'll see how it turns out.

I started an instagram thread if the photography thread regulars are interested.

I've got some really great glass for my film cameras and I'm thinking about getting an adapter or 3 so I can use them on my digital bodies. They're cheap enough and if they work reasonably well that would be cool. (I just looked at the price of a Zeiss 85mm f1.4 portrait lens)

I figured as much IC. Do you have one that has a focus confirm? What brand Fotodiox, Bowen? Are those pics above taken with an adapted lens?

Fotodiox , I'm shooting micro 4/3rds an it doesn't have focus confirm. However, I have this focus peaking on one camera that works well. No those are shot with a 20mm 1.7 Panasonic lens

You're really good at food pics, IC. It's quite easy to produce horrible results, as witnessed by many 'lifestyle pics' we see in eg. WAYWT, if you know what I mean. Yours are yummy.

Thanks for the kind words NOBD, I'm kind of obsessed with food...I guess I never evolved enough to stop thinking about it haha you are the king of macro! It makes me jealous to think how well you could adapt that view you have to food. What lenses are you using for your macro shots?( Like the insects) you make them look dream like its an unique approach

I think it'd be cool to do a whole series on textures like that.

I just stopped looking at it because its just not my style I do post a little on Sufu denim but hardly ever . They're generally more laid back too. The 100 2.8 is a nice lens!

I know I have a 100mm 1:1 macro lens for the Minoltas somewhere. Two of my zooms that I use all the time are macro capable but they don't come anywhere close to 1:1. One is 1:4 and the other is 1:2.8

I suppose if you really wanted to go macro a good bellows set or microscope mount would be pretty wild.
