I get what you're driving at but that's not it as well.

LOL! Just look at the photo. Screw composition, I used that to add confusion to the pic. Don't worry about bokeh or anything else. Just look at the photo, read nothing into it at all and if you are on the right track it'll be easy to confirm your suspicions.

So what, like the photographer should have cropped out the ragged leaves?

Wouldn't that be an element of composition? I said I used that to add confusion to the image. The answer is in plain sight.

LOL! Don't look at it from a position of critique. What do you see?

Is it more of what I don't see? Like missing blossoms?

Getting close. The subject matter it-self is confusing isn't it?

I guess that means you don't want to play?

No. What you are seeing is a very unnatural event of nature. The pic was taken in August of last year. The apple tree was long past it's Spring bloom but for some reason one branch sprouted new growth and blossomed. I used this seldom seen occurrence to my advantage in the pic. As I said I manipulated the rules of composition to add further confusion. At the same time I used them to draw the eye right back to the blossoms and ripe fruit. It truly is what it is but your mind wouldn't let you see it.

I'm reacting a little to the frustration at inability to answer your original question but if a thread full of photography fans don't get what you're capturing, maybe you didn't capture it
