really love that shot with the trees and the sidewalk. The NY time square looks really noisy, you took that with a d7k?

Oh man, I just discovered this thread. Here's a shot from this past March as we slide out of port in Miami...

That was the D50 that I have since retired. Excellent camera but it did have difficulty with shots like that.

Interesting the things even tire tracks in your driveway can create.

Thanks. It was taken in my pajamas while being served breakfast by a beautiful French flight attendant drool.gif

It's an experience I look forward to again in March.

Jetblast, you do a great job framing your shots. It's something I'll have to look at for guidance.

Also, I loved the pics of Baltimore.

Thank you. I have actually taken to shooting more photos using less zoom - a problem I ran into quite frequently was that I would frame the shot so close when actually taking it, that if I went to edit it and it was not level, I would have to crop out parts of the shot I really wanted.

As for Baltimore, I'm not a huge Baltimore fan, but it cannot be doubted that the city still has a rich architectural flavour from its glory days.

I love how you captured the "party essence" of miami ironically on a boat that is merely near it. plus the colors (and any post processing you've done - if any) are also a play on the pastel (art deco) coloration that miami is associated with.

its a great shot by itself - but tagging/naming it miami really expounds on the subject manner.

Hmm, I'll have to try this non-zoom technique.

Yeah, Baltimore tends to be a love it or hate it kind of town. Personally, I find that it has a bit more gritty charm than DC or Naptown.
