Hey il! I can say so far I love it! The only thing I would change is the crop, I just wish it was FF but thats why I'm waiting on the 5D MK III if it ever comes out. That sucks for your classmate though, at least nothing else was stolen. Btw the nice little menu on top of the camera makes changing the settings so much easier! I don't have to go through a slow menu now.

A few from Kyoto this weekend. This season a lot of the temples are open at night with special lighting. Unfortunately, these are all hand-held so not optimal shots.







Any recs for tweaking this one? The colours and exposure are off but it is so rare to get a photo of that temple at night that I would like to get it as good looking as possible. Advice appreciated!

Thank you! There's a lot more and IMO this 50L really does well when there is sufficent light. but usually indoors it is horrible and usually makes images really soft. The 24L though is insanely sharp compared to the 50L.

Nice Krp, I bet the 24mm can take in alot more area compared to that 50. I'm contemplating selling all my gear so I can get a 5d mkII with one of those lenses in the next few months. Let me know how you like it!

Thanks il! Yes you are right though. The bokeh isn't the same either. The wider angle lens I personally think produces better bokeh at night with the lights rather than the 50L. I'm not going to stop you from selling your nikon gear ! If you are on a budget though wait to get the 5D MK II since the MK III is coming out but if not, go for the MK III because it's updated technology even though the MK II is still pretty damn good. But the price should drop significantly when the III comes out. I love this 24L II so far though its just amazing. If you wind up switching to Canon also IMO lenses are better but get the 85L II I think that lens has the best bokeh of any lens out there.... with the exception of leica.

I was talking with a friend of mine that works at a camera shop and he was saying even though the mk3 is coming out it will still be a while before the prices go down. I don't want to wait that long as my shutter count rises on my nikon lol I want a 24 and a 50 ..85 seems too long for all around shooting though.
