Longer scarves...advice in order

Hi,  I live in the midwest and typically wear shorter scarves throughout the winter months.  My preference are wool, cashmere or blends of that sort.  I recently bought two scarves which I find quite attractive other than the fact that both of them fall to slightly above my knees when wearing.  I would like to wear them but am in need of suggestions of how to do so without looking like one of the cast of segements of the Wizard of Oz.  Ideas??

After you've wrapped it around your neck, do another round but secure it so the second loop falls on your chest. Although, I will say that wearing a scarf like that works better with streetwear.
