Recommend me a replacement cell phone

My Samsung Galaxy S2 was lost or stolen last night. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUU

I'm secretly hoping it'll show up or the person who found/stole it will return it, but I'm not holding my breath. No fucking insurance for lost phones here either.

They're going for $560 on Amazon.

What should I get? I'd rather not pay more than $300 because I'm a cheap bastard. Ideas?

On your next phone, install something like Where's My Droid that will text or email you the GPS location of your phone as well as front-facing camera pictures taken when the phone is unlocked which may show who took it.

You mean less than $300 out of contract?

You will be limited to a pure crap phone new or top phones from about a year ago. Used Iphone 4, Atrix I etc are going for about $300.

If I lost my phone right now I would probably go even cheaper and get a used Iphone 3GS
