Loake Pimlico Sizing Help

Thread Starter

I normally wear size 9.5 (UK) wide fitting (EEE) shoes. I am currently contemplating buying the Loake Pimlico Chukka, but I am currently unsure if they will fit me as they are F wide boots. I have researched a lot from this forum, and people have stated that the capital last (last used in the pimlico model) is quite wide. Can anyone help me in my sizing dilemma?

Note: I am currently ordering these shoes online, so I cannot really try the shoes on.

Thanks in advance for the help

This is impossible to say since there are many factors influencing fit. Most importantly, the last being used for making the shoes you're wearing, as well as the shoe type and maker.

"I'm wearing UK 9.5 wide" can mean anything. For instance, you may be talking about sneakers with lots of padding.

It may also be that 9.5 isn't even close to your correct shoe size. You wouldn't be the first or the only one who made that mistake.

Sorry if that doesn't help but that's my honest opinion.

I had a great experience ordering Loakes (Litchfield) from "A Fine Pair of Shoes" and they have the Pimlicos with free shoe trees: http://www.afinepairofshoes.co.uk/products/loake-pimlico-dark-brown-suede

More importantly, they list the sole dimensions of all their shoes down to a tenth of a cm, so you can measure a pair that fits and compare to their site. Sole dimensions may or may not translate to the inside of the shoe fitting, but it should get you pretty close.

I'd also vouch for a fine pair of shoes, purchased a pair of litchfields myself in fact
If you contact them they will measure dimensions for you, though most are noted on the site

+1  The last is the most important.

Shoehealer.co.uk and Pediwear.co.uk gives detailed answer to inquery.
