Black Friday 2011 - Page 3

Looks like Off 5th Saks started it's Black Friday deals. Pretty vague on the website citing "Up To 50% off"

Last call is 40% off entire purchase. Pretty standard issue stuff that they run every other week.

Nothing new with those sales, but sometimes on black Friday they offer 20-3% kickers as doorbuster specials (at least they have at NMLC).

Sure, if you  have the time ($$$) to waste to wait outside some store freezing in the hopes that you get one of the limited items available at the lower prices. The same items that they bring out again for the next couple of months lol8[1].gif

Nah, they aren't offering deals on specific items, just on everything in the store, so you can get some great deals. In 2008 the sales were really ridiculous with kickers of 30-40% in the morning on top of the 40% off everything on top of large markdowns. I loaded up on all kinds of dress shirts from Burberyy, Robert Talbott, Hikey Freeman, etc for around $25 each. Loaded up with trousers too, and bought two Hickey Freeman suits for about $600 total, all before 6am.

And if you move to central Texas there is no freezing required  biggrin.gif I was trying on cashmere sweaters at NMLC on Saturday, came outside and it was 90 degrees. I will be excited to get to wear them the two days out of the year I can.

Any knowledge of any sales at the brooks brothers store? Last year early December they had 40% off their blazers - picked up a green country club blazer. I'd like to pick up a navy one this year, but only at 40% off.

Woodbury is always crazy. Heard there was a 4 hour line to leave the parking lot last year

Went to the Saks sale. Talk about chaos. Great deals for women, so-so for men. The highest for men was only 50% discount from original prices.

Even on sale shoes? They usually have them out on racks. Any good deals there?

I didn't know anything about this. I don't know why they don't offer the additional discount no more.

Sorry for the late reply. IMO, pickings were slim on the sale shoes. There wasn't even a rack, just a display stand with the few selected ones on sale. EGs were not included, I think.
