If anyone is looking for these in beeswax the Mall of America has them. I picked up a pair last week. If any of you need them just call them up to check the size, and I can run over and ship them out. I know I'm a newbie, but hey, I'd like to help.

Do you guys put shoe trees in your Clark's desert boots between wearings? Or is it not necessary given the construction, leather type, etc. I have dark brown suede.

I would find that unnecessary and potentially harmful to the shoe depending on the amount of pressure the shoe tree creates. The suede is rather soft in my experience and does not crease, so shoe trees aren't really needed.

Does anyone know of a reputable site that is currently carrying the Sand Suede variety of the desert boots in a 9.5 size? I'm not very close to a Clarks store in my area, so finding a pair online would be best. I've checked quite a few sites, and short or one or two I'm not too familiar with, I'm having some trouble finding any.

Do I need to resort to eBay?

that would be my experience/advice as well. part of the pleasant aesthetics of the boot is that it's quite "shapeless" compared to a lot of other shoes/boots, giving you a very relaxed look.

Pink,

As far as I see, there's no 9.5 Sand Suede on Zappos (I reached this conclusion from following your link). Am I missing something?

Walking into stores that push overpriced wares and pretending I am a chest surgeon is a hobby of mine. So I was burning time in the mall and walked into Cole Haan: http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/cat...productGroup=# Suede, crepe sole, leather insole desert boot. Not worth anywhere NEAR 2 and a half pairs of Clarks, but to be honest, I found them much more comfortable than my Clarks Desert Boots. The perforated leather lining was buttttter. However, I thought the profile looked clown-shoe-ish on me...real protrusion. Am I walking the tight rope of relevance here?

I've yet to see a Clark's desert boot in person. Does the sand suede color look like this:

Or like this:
