You should see the white soles on the sand colored Clarks. They get real ugly real fast. I really wish the sand ones had a darker sole.

Does anyone know if desert boots can be resoled with a leather or normal rubber sole? Crepe's enjoyably quiet, but I don't find it particularly practical when I'm not sneaking up on the wehrmacht in the desert.

I'm not sure it would adhere, and, in any case, that's not quite the same thing. Personally, I just want a nice non crepe rubber sole on the bottom of some brown suede boots.

I have a Clarks pair in that same brownish shade suede as the J. Crew pair, but not burnished or pre-distressed. I've never seen the color on Zappos or another site; it's not the grey, black, brown or sand. I love them. The shoes are pretty damn comfortable...I wore them all day, and while they don't secure the foot totally, the sole is pretty nice and I LOVE the look. It's not sneakers, but it's not AE or anything polished, so it's slightly more than casual. PERFECT with jeans.

A staple of my wardrobe. Although I only have the dark brown suede ones. The suede on mine is in great condition, as is the wear on the sole. I've been super happy with the purchase.

I found the brown leather desert boots......But...Does anyone know if they have a crepe sole aswell? The soles on my sand colored desert boots were nasty after only 2 wears. Do all crepe soles get like this or just the Clarks crepe soles?
