I don't see anything wrong with that.

Is there much stretch in the Horween desert boots?
If there's none I guess I have to go up half a size (annoyingly so no where with any discount stocks halfs in the uk)
Even a little will make these perfect

Mine is the UK size 8. It felt tight on the instep and my cobbler had to stretch it. You may or may not need the Horween DBs stretched but its an option.

Congrats! The Lastigo leather made by Horween is actually very nice and I'm liking your rich color. I went for the classic taupe which is a light brown shade - more versatile for general walks. I can see the burgundy good for the office and for dressier wear. That's a great pair of DB you've acquired!

Thanks for posting a picture because I have been wondering how they would look after a few wears. Reminds me a lot like color #8 cordovan. I am debating between these and beeswax db

When you say stretch was it a lot? I am between us 8 and 8.5. Size 8 are to narrow but the 8.5 is a bit to roomy.

im between a 9 and 9.5
i went for a 9. its snug at first on the sides but will loosen up after a few wears.

i have a 9.5 for the beeswax . quite comfy and alittle roomy at 1st, but after about 5 wears, it stretches quite a bit and nearly unwearable.

im 8.5 in alden indy and barrie last. and 9.5 in nikes 10 in vans

Lookin' good @benjamin b  -- did BNelson do the work or some other cobbler?

Just a local cobbler. I didn't have new soles put on, just these sewn up so they'd hold out for a while until I have them fully resoled via the authorized resole company.

$15 + $7 Sno Seal, $0.75 set of red laces. Not a bad alternative to $60 new soles, or $120 new shoes.

The Burgundy's fit the same as the Beeswax however? Do you have any more recent pics you can post? Really liking the looks of them but can't find anything but stock pictures.

Thanks

today

I love my new desert boots, but I need to buy some slim fit pants definitely..

I just received a new pair of beeswax desert boots from Amazon and they look completely different from the beeswax that I currently own. They are very dark and have a blackish tint to them. I saw Amazon listed two versions of the beeswax, one is plain beeswax and the other is beeswax leather. I ordered the regular beeswax, which I assumed were the light colored ones. I can't imagine why anyone would choose this ugly blackish color over the original golden brown. They also seem to scratch easier, just rubbing them with your fingers leaves a mark. Does anyone know where I can find the original beeswax at a decent price?
