Mine is stamped with ink. Also, is the inside of a suede boot always suede? Mine is finished leather. Everything else looks right, the thickness and quality of leather is right, the stitching seems decent enough quality, but those two things seem questionable. Thanks for any help you can give.

if the thickness and quality of the leather is right, they're probably not fakes.

A couple of thoughts:

#1 - Find a local cobblers who can order vibram sole. Vibram have a search function on their website - http://www.vibram.us/repairconsumer/

#2 - Find a cobbler who accepts orders via the mail/internet - http://lmgtfy.com/?q=vibram+shoe+repair+mail
.
Previous posts indicate cost is around $60 although this is YMMV.

Toss a coin. Heads = Timberlands. Tails = Clarks.

Seriously, though you don't give any criteria for people to help in your decision making, so it is going to come down to personal preference - and the fact that you are posting in a CDB thread. I'd vote for the DBs by the way smile.gif

appreciate it

Looks like some local cobblers do vibram soles. I'll replace the original soles when they wear out within a few years.

My pair are the beeswax leather ones, they get a really nice patina when you break them in, I'd pick them any day over timbs.

I wear a 10 in most shoes (10.5 in narrower shoes). Should I go with a 9? Is there any difference in sizing between leather and suede?

in my experience the leather ones are a bit tighter.

where is the lowest price to get these now? I noticed they went up in price recently
