Clarks Desert Boots - Page 381

Is it worthwhile to resole/refurbish a pair of made in England Clarks desert boot?

I believe the color is the much-loved beeswax.

Do these look good with N&F wg or APC ns?

If you've already broken them in and the upper is in fine condition, I think that'd be cool. Upgrade the soles and it'd be baller. I think it's worth doing even with the Asian made versions, though...

I got some desert boots off the bay at a decent price, but they're size 12 and feel way too big. Usually I'm anywhere between sz 11-12 depending on the shoe, 11.5 seems perfect for boots. Should I use leather insoles or just trade them away for size 11's? I really like the beeswax color and its hard to come across.

mine started out comfortably snug and stretched out to fit me perfectly. i'm sure they'd work w/ insoles but i found that mine did stretch some

I like the idea of resoling an old DB on a vibram cristy. Are cristys available in black? Also, where you can buy them online?

Hey guys I have a quick question. I think my DBs may be fake so I need some help. On Clarks Originals DBs, is the Made in Vietnam writing always branded into the leather tongue of the boot? Mine is stamped with ink. Also, is the inside of a suede boot always suede? Mine is finished leather. Everything else looks right, the thickness and quality of leather is right, the stitching seems decent enough quality, but those two things seem questionable. Thanks for any help you can give.

Free laces from Clarks if you go to their website.
