A lot of people are selling their Matte Blacks shortly after buying them. I'd go with the Navy blue leather over the Olive Leather though.

Beeswax is a must have
I used to have a pair of Black Leather Clarks DB, I don't remember what type of sole it was, but it's definitely not crepe. It was all black, very heavy/solid. I sold it on Ebay because it was too big for me. Hadn't found any site that sells it ever since.

For a long-lasting Vibram sole that's much better than a crepe sole, $60 isn't so bad.

I'd add the Sand Suede to your list too lol But that's just me, I definitely agree with the burgundy/red wine DBs though

I think you gotta wear the boots really loose if you wanna try and pull that off.

Been lurking this thread and want to finally point out that the matte blacks (like the ones i am selling) are actually quite versatile. Not trying to promote a sale here but honestly, if i didn't own 5 other pairs of black mix of boots/shoes, I would keep this. Great pair for the spring summer outfit with the chinos. tbh, the only other Davidz worth buying IMO, are the blue pair. burgundy is nice too. greay/olive saddle leather too boring.

It's true that you can get a new pair with that money, but considering many circumstances, sometimes it's better to do what you did and resole them so you don't have to worry about slipping around and stuff so you can wear them more often. What good is another pair if you can't wear them out when it's raining (if you hypothetically wanted to) lol

No pics, but that's what I wore most of the summer. V-neck t shirt, shorts, loafer socks and DB's. Too hot to dress up unless need to in SoCal.

The water will still soak through the thin material though.
