no, you're not color blind i thought they were black when i first pulled them out but then remembered that the matte black was not leather

got my dbs this afternoon. a bit darker than i thought they would be, but still p. nice. the forecast tomorrow is rain - i've heard horror stories about crepe soles in the rain. is there any truth to them?

Why don't you test it out and report back?

Hm, if that is really the true color, i would have gotten those instead of the matte black in nubuck... want some black leather boots (who want to trade in size 9??)

macallisters are a pricey (at full price) alternative to the desert boot. some like them some don't. i personally find them more comfortable than the desert boot and they are a bit more sleek in appearance.

the "sleekness" is what i am going for and like. they've their version of the beeswax, which looks very nice too.

does j crew ever . . . go on sale? i found their clothes to be nice and better than BR. i always thought j crew = br.

yeah, some beeswax are so dark. i prefer mine to be on the lighter side.

does anyone know if the beeswax will get darker, or lighter over time?

still waiting to see actual pics of the olive and grey saddle leather to see if i want to get one of them instead

I bought the olive ones too and they look very similar to these pics. The blue is very misleading- I even called them to make sure they had the right colorway advertised. I'll probably end up returning the navy ones.

Can you post pics of the olive ones? Thinking about grabbing those, and I would like to see the true color before purchase. Thanks in advance.

Hmm. So I received my pair of DB's but they're actually Bushacres!?'

I went to Nordstrom Rack and saw a nice pair of DB's (or so I thought) that were light grey. These are a darker grey. I'm not happy.

Do you think I should return and try to find the light greys? Every website that sells clarks don't have the light grey "version". THey're all similar to mine.

Also, is there a way to make my shoe lighter or will it get lighter over time?
