I will frequently wear mine with a pair of chinos (BB Clark fit, interestingly) and an OCBD. I think it's a decent look, and very comfortable.

Clarks does some nice ads. I like this photo, how the girl's feet are turned in coquetishly and she's leaning in to her man, who remains, in spite of the young woman's display of affection, rather aloof looking. The colors are nice too; everything is rather monochrome grey except for some pop in the woman's outfit.
