is a gel insole a good solution for a bit of heel slip? maybe they just need to be broken in, but I have a hunch they are ever-so-slightly too large.

If any of you guys are having heel rub problems (as I've read here happens a lot with desert boots), try these Dr Scholl's heel liners (http://www.drscholls.com/drscholls/p...p&searchArg=44). I haven't used them with desert boots but I've used them in other shoes and they've worked well. Should only be $5 at any drugstore.

Just picked up the Wolf suede colorway. Absolutely love the look of these as a sand alternative that can be worn in all seasons:

I got the heel liners today (8 bucks

) the right foot still slips a bit, although I guess it is against a softer surface now so maybe chafing won't be a problem while they're getting broken in.

Don't understand how everyone seems to size down 1-2 on these. I sized down 1 from what I normally wear and they were way too tight.

Me too--definitely not recommended in all situations.

PM me if anyone needs a size 12 in sand suede. (shameless promotion)

I don't think anyone sizes down 2.

I can only afford to size down 0.5.

Unfortunately, it's difficult to find this size on the cheap.

Does anyone here on SF.net do proxies from the UK for the all of the Clarks models and colors that aren't available for delivery in the US from the clarks.co.uk site?

I'm looking to get a pair of Weavers but they're sold out at oi polloi and it looks like the Clarks UK site is the only place to order them right now. But they don't ship internationally. Bummer. Can anyone here proxy from the UK?

sz 10 in Converse JP
9.5 in Vans chukkas,
sz 10 in Vans eras/authentics/most other vans
just bought beeswax DB today in sz 9... the 9.5 is k, a bit more roomy but the heel slipped ever so slightly, and the 9 is snug but not bad, am i a mutant with my range of shoes sizes

Let me rephrase. If you do own a pair, what are your thoughts in regards to quality and ware? I saw some photographs and feedback earlier in the thread and I was wondering how these are treating you.

Thanks

Same here. Actually, because of the overall shape and how soft the uppers are I actually find size 14 DBs to fit better than size 15s in many other shoes.
