Just want to add my experience on sizing, since I finally got it right. I would go half US size down from dress shoe size (size measured on brannock device). Or go by the UK size and size down 1 full size (ie if you are a 10US, go down to a 9UK which is marked 9.5US).

^ I'll do the same. At the store the other day, I measured 9US on the Brannock device. I went with the 8.5s. Though moderately snug in the middle of my foot, they are way more comfy than the 9 that I tried on. The 9s felt very similar in the foot (no slippage at the heel), but the ankle material of the boot was too big and felt weird when I walked around. I'm happy with the half-size reduction after a couple days of wear.

let me contribute on the sizings too. Basically just buy whateve size you are in in converse chucks for a loose fit, and 1/2 size down from chucks for a snug fit and stretch it later.

My suede desert boots stretched out a lot.

Okay so I was brushing my teeth and dropped a few bits of water on my clarks, and what the fuck. Instant stain, can't get it out. tried rubbing with a dry cloth, didn't do anything. tried rubbing with a damp cloth, made it worse. I googled solutions to water stains on suede, and I found a lot of different ones that are all tedious and annoying. Is there an easy or efficient way to get water stains out my clarks? and I do plan on getting them treated after fixing them.

Nah, just wear them in the rain, rough them up.
I tried to baby mine for a while, its futile.
And silly, they're boots.
It's like when you get a new pair of white shoes, and they look goofy at first, and then you get one mark on them and it looks silly but later once they're all evenly beat, they look good.
