Help me win over my unrequited love.

Thread Starter

Alright...what does one wear to an office holiday party that is "cocktail attire?"

I am 5-11, 145 lbs, size 40R, and a 31 waist?  What sort of shoes are in style?  Slim "flat" slacks?

Jacket?

Bow tie?

Sweater?

Help?

I am most comfortable in my jeans with Converse or Red WIngs on my bike.  But I do have a closet full of decent (back in the day) suits by Hugo Boss, Zegna, Joseph Abboud, Mickey Spatz - back when wide legs were in.  I am told that I look dapper.  I can live with it.  I want to win an unrequited love's attention.

Your personality and confidence will count for a lot more with a woman than whether you wear flashy clothing. In the end, its not showing off that attracts her interest, its being yourself. You have to be the man you are. What you wear isn't going to change it for someone else. But if we have to give you obvious dating tips, you still haven't understood how to land the girl.

i dunno- remember how TOJ guy kept offering to swag out stanleyvanburen? i'd have loved to see him walk into his xmas party dressed in DR and dior 17.5s.
also, a guy whose name is 'midlife' should NOT get a porsche. perhaps that's just the english viewpoint though.

Porsche's are so passe...

It's much more "in" to pick up a prescription drug habit or kill a hooker...

How are you 5'11 145 and a 40 chest? I'm guessing you're measuring your chest wrong. I'm your height and weight and I'm a 36/30

It's possible if he has a very low body fat percentage, although it's unlikely.

I'm 6'/190, work out, and I have a 40 inch chest. It must've been a typo/incorrect measurement.
