B & S - What am I doing wrong?

Is it just me or are others struggling with the B & S forum? I find it miserable to scroll through the items. Many people do not put the sizes, lengths, etc., in their headlines and then when I click on the actual item to go into the description it is miserable to get back to where you were. Once you leave the detailed item description, the system does not put you back to where you were. It always reverts to the top of the page or in some cases it even takes me to another page. For the most part, I have quit looking at the B & S forum. Am I doing something wrong in navigating the site?

I usually open an item in a new window so I don't lose my place. But, yeah, sellers could be better at writing more specific titles and yes, there are some technical issues the mgmt are still working on. 

 

also.... buy the stuff in my sig!

I seem to have a different problem with B & S, with the pictures. They're all tiny thumbnails(less than an inch on my screen), I think one is supposed to click on them and a full image pops up, But what is actually happening the page goes dark, the rotating icon thing appears in the middle and then nothing happens. I click on the page and it reverts back to normal. This is with both Chrome and Safari on a Mac.

In other sections of SF, embedded images are large. Also on other forums which use thumbnail previews for embedded images, the full sized images always appear correctly when clicked on.

Yeah, that's why I just upload the pictures into the post... Save some trouble.

That rotating thing is awful. Shows up anytime I want to make pics bigger for the most part, not just in B&S. I swear it's worse in B&S though. This is with Safari and Firefox on a Mac.

I will say that I've almost completely quit looking at B&S since the new format. It's just too difficult to wade through everything now. It's like WORK where before it was FUN. At that point Ebay has better search and interface.

I completely agree. Before the changeover the MC B&S was one of my 2-3 most visited webpages; now I rarely visit.

+1000 I agree. B&S is now less user friendly. It would be interesting to note if sellers are reporting a decrease in views of their items since the new system started

Sorry for the problems guys. I'm going to close this thread and move it to the New Forum discussion forum though. There is a thread there re. B&S. I would like to keep things consolidated so that we can actually act on things. For those experiencing trouble with the photos in B&S, could you either post in the B&S thread or PM me your OS as well as browser?
