I heard that. That's is sorta crazy. I mean Illinois isn't some dream job but it sure as hell is a big jump. Isn't he from the Chicago area too?

To me it would be a no-brainer to make the move.

yea I woulda done it. glad he's staying, but he's obviously about to get a huge contract bump. maybe it's better to make $2.5 mil in richmond than $2.5 mil in illinois and piss off your wife?

Really nervous. Hope MSU can destroy the press like they did in 2009

I see a mix of Appling and Green bringing the ball up. Green's really matured this year by not trying to do everything right from the start of big games, so I think he'll make smart decisions bringing the ball up. I don't particularly trust Trice handling pressure. He struggled badly against Craft. Apparently Louisville plays a fair bit of zone. I'm hoping for a ton of Nix to Thornton kickouts. I haven't seen someone come so far as Thornton in just one year after solid frustration for the past 2. Izzo's a genius for sticking with him. Overall State's a better team, and if they're hitting threes it should take your worry away quickly. I think they should still be alright even if they shoot only 30ish% from three through gathering offensive boards against the zone.

Trice has struggled. I think he will be OK. Craft is an unreal defender. I think he and Kearney will be OK. The key will be outside shooting. If wood and co can hit the jumpers, it'll force them to not press, which exactly happened in 09. That was maybe the perfect executed gameplan. This Ville team isn't nearly as skilled as that one. Tonight could be another triple double performance by green.

Big Ten basketball should be illegal.

Syracuse is playing far better than I thought they would. I think they're gonna win this one.

Ugh, Michigan State. Should have known better than to trust a team that has such a difficult time scoring.

I expected MSU to play better than this, much better. Not a good night for the Big Ten.

Yeah. Somebody should have told them it's not the Big 10, where scoring 44 points gives you an 85% chance of winning.

I love the fact that the Big East teams heard all year that the Big10/12 teams were better.
They came to the tournament and said, "Screw that."
They have a great chance to go 4-0 tonight, and I hope they do.

I think MU will go the Elite 8 but no farther... I think they can beat FL and LOU. But not MSU.

From what I've read he seems like a pretty humble down to earth guy so that would make sense.

What a boring night it was last night.
