2011/12 College Basketball Season

I'm a little bounce2.gif even though it'll be a meh season.

Bold prediction: FSU wins either ACC regular season our tourney. Three CAA teams go to the tourney. Butler finds a way to get to the final four even though they are pretty bad. May change that to just the sweet sixteen, we'll see.

I may go and make conference by conference predictions. At least for the top half of conferences.

Very uncertain about this season.



The carrier game was pretty cool, though. UNC looked great.

Just about ready to turn off Duke vs. MSU. MSU cannot finish inside. As a big man, it's very frustrating to watch.

For a minute I thought Duke was playing 3 guys who were the sons of former NBA players. Turns out Andre Dawkins is now Johnny's son.

I grew up a UCLA fan, briefly attended its biggest rival and currently attend its next biggest rival; I'm not sure if the utter implosion of a once proud program brings me a delightful sense of schadenfreude or a cloying sort of pity.

In Feb. of last year, Butler was written off even making the tournament. Just saying.

May amend my CAA prediction to three MVAC teams going dancing.

The loss of Singleton hurts FSU pretty bad. But if we can lead the nation in field goal defense for the third straight year, we should be at least in the running.

lol @ Pitt.

What I like about college hoops is that it so perfectly shows that that college athletics features athletes who aren't students. I mean, midweek tournament in San Juan where there are no NCAA schools? SURE! A full 24 hours of games? Why not! What are they going to miss if they sleep all the next day... etc.
