Hopsack or worsted wool blazer

I was trying on navy blazers yesterday and it came down to two blazers to choose between.  The first is hopsack and has a great fit and will need minimal alterations.  The second is a beautiful worsted wool fabric that has a boxy fit and will need to be slimmed down in the waist.  My dilemna is that I am unfamiliar with hopsack and unsure whether I like it.  What are the rules on hopsack blazers?  Are they more casual?  Less dressy?  Warm weather blazers?  Is one blazer considered younger and more hip?  Some of my clients demand I lose the tie when we meet, which is why I'm looking to pick up a blazer, but I need it to be dressy enough to wear with clients.  Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give.

Hopsack is sportier than a plain worsted, and thus likely to be more appropriate for a blazer.

Hopsack is a looser weave generally for warmer weather.

Worsteds come in all weights. Heavier weights are for cooler seasons, of course.

One blazer fabric is as formal as another.

Is one more common/popular than the other?
