I tried posting this on the MC forum but didn't get anywhere so perhaps I'll have better luck on SW&D where truly excellent tees are appreciated.
I'm looking for a source of Pima or ELS cotton that is knit, such as used for undershirts. Does anybody out there have a source? The few online places I found just do not seem to have the correct thing. Some very highly regarded undershirts, such as those made by Zimmerli, Hanro and Suspel, may use any range of fabrics from 100% cotton to blends such as 93% cotton, 6% modal, etc.
Anybody out there know where I can get this kind of stuff?
I got some modal but it's a little too sheer for what I really want. I'm creating black v-neck tees that are actually cut for those of us that fall into the "athletic fit" category. You know who you are. Any undershirt or plain tee that you have tried from like every place in existence is never perfect: the shirt is boxy and not slim cut, or the length is too long or too short, the waist fits but the shoulders don't, the armholes are not cut high, the sleeves are too long or too short, etc. Time for something that truly works.
Any help sourcing some really great fabric is appreciated.
cheers,
SP
