If you look up Star Bar, it has some merits, I guess - but the accompanying articles that you get when you google paint a broader, better picture and don't necessarily focus on Star Bar. The list itself is a circle jerk, as it now becomes clear, but it's definitely focused on this bartender as rock star-type mixologist thing. The kind of assholes who will look down on you for not knowing the brand names of mezcal that are filtered through raw chicken breast, or local moonshines.

Hate this so much, can't believe people worship bartenders and actually refer to them as mixologists. They remember a lot of recipes and mix some liquids in a glass and throw some weird shaped ice in, they're not some fucking scientist.
