2011 Christmas lists?

So what's on your Christmas list this year? I'll be honest, again this year I'm having a hard time thinking of anything I really want that badly that someone else would buy for me. I'm always open to new cuff-links but I'd rather find them myself. I need a new overcoat; but that's far too expensive to ask for another to buy for me. But I might put a new drill on the list because my father-in-law would love buying one.

so who has ideas?

nothing, although I'm seriously considering a Christmas day family trip to volunteer in a soup kitchen.

Nothing just for me. Everyday is Xmas for me. We are hitting CA wine country over Xmas and NYE though so I guess this is our present to each other.

I need to buy a new rear windshield for my Jeep. I also want to buy a new briefcase to replace the one that was stolen when hooligans broke said rear windshield.

I think I'm going to buy a new briefcase and just tell my siblings that it was a gift from them. They can't really afford to gift too much.

I still need to pick out a mattress as my birthday gift from my family...

Will probably upgrade the telescope I keep at my shack in the Smokies to do astrophotography. Something like this Celestron

lulz, well I need a mattress as the ex got the old one, so my family said they'd throw me money for one. I need to pick one out first.

Just a queen sized, extra firm. Most apartments in NYC can barely fit a queen frown.gif

Gifts for others:
I have bought key knives from Garrett Wade in the past and they have usually been a hit. Don't give them to someone who travels too much as they will likely have to give it up at the airport.

Engraved Zippos are a good idea I think. Used Zippos work fine for this. You can obviously get personal here (or funny, as in engraving something like "Person's Name: A Real Fireball")

Folding combs make good stocking stuffers like this:

Fox River Mills Red Heel Monkey Socks (25% off for the next few days)

Ettinger Travel Shoe Horn:

Personally, I usually give people a link to my Amazon wishlist since they can pick and choose from there and it still keeps things a surprise.
