was given to me by my dad, he says this is a nice sport coat, i was wanting to get your opinions on it, and what I can wear with it, thanks

it is a nice sportcoat. Grey (black/white) herringbone is very versatile and can go with almost anything.

It does look pretty nice and if it fits well I think you will look good in it. I would wear a coat like that with tan or navy pants and of course....jeans.

First off, congrats, that does indeed look like a nice sportcoat. Really the question is what can't you wear with it, as the possibilities are endless. It's not very dressy, so you shouldn't be wearing it in very formal situations. But flannel trousers, corduroy trousers, oxford cloth button downs, wool ties, silk pocket squares...all these are open to you.

I agree with all of the above. Congratulations to you and our compliments to your father.
A herringbone sport coat, in one form or another, should be in the wardrobe of every man where the climate permits.
Young man or older man, you can't go wrong wearing one. I would also add that vests also work nicely with these jackets.

+1 ..my Herringbone's are my go to casual grab and wear item. Goes well with anything. But this is special since it is from you dad. Congrats.

That's a really nice jacket. The old USA-made Polo stuff was extremely well-made. Should last you a long time, and very cool that it comes from your dad. He made a good choice that you get to enjoy too.

A nice vintage SC that is versatile. Working out what is does not go with is easier than working it what it does go with.

Wear it in good health, and pair with a blue OCBD and repp or knit ties.
