Wanting to head to NYC solo roadtrip, thinking of staying on the outskirts and using public transportation to get in. Where would be my best place to snag a hotel? My initial plan was heading up around new years and bringing in 2012 there, but I'm open to that idea. I'm planning to stay 4-5 nights, heading into the city daily to check it out.
