Thanks a lot to all the worthy forum members for their informative replies!
My search for a good quality black dress shoe continues & have realized that for a black formal dress shoe I will have to settle for a more traditional Round Cap Toe.
However even then there are some round toes which look a little bit more stylish as compared to the AE Park Avenues. No offense to Park Avenue fans, but I find the cap toe very short/small and overall, the shoe to my eye is not that attractive.
Here are a few examples of shoes which interest me:
- Loake ALDWYCH
Although not as highly rated, in my opinion it is a very attractive shoe and the cap toe is not as short/small as the Park Avenues.
- Cheaney Sloane, http://www.herringshoes.co.uk/product-info.php?selectedColourid=512&brandid=5&catid=143&shoeid=858&selectedSizeid=0&selectedFitid=0
- Grenson Salisbury http://www.anandshoes.co.uk/Brands/Grenson/Salisbury_Shoe.aspx
If you have any experience with the above mentioned shoes, please chime in.
Will be looking forward to your feedback as I am planning on using the black dress shoe for a long term
Thanks
