Its not a stupid question. I recommend that you get in touch with them via the website to discuss the details of the sizing. What they tell you will be more accurate than what I say. But you will need to be ready to give them some detailed measurements, from which they can customize your jacket. I think they want your chest, stomach, waist, and bicep circumferences, if I recall correctly. The two other measurements that are crucial are for the sleeves and for the back. My memory is that they didn't ask for these, but I recommend that you bring them up to make sure that you get these right. Sometimes motorcycle jackets are cut a little long in the back and sleeves to accommodate a riding position. But if you aren't riding you will want a normal fit.
The sizing for the jackets is generally pretty snug. I normally wear a size 40 suit jacket, but I bought a 42 and this was the right choice. I think that going TTS is mainly for people who want them to be skin tight over just a tee shirt. But this is something they can advise you about better than I can. As for the logo patch, just ask and they will take it off (or not put it on in the first place). I found that ordering from them was very easy and the the turnaround was very fast, especially since I still lived in the US when I ordered.
