I purchased a size 40 down jacket from GEOX a week ago. From measuring, I think my chest is a 38. It feels slightly snug around my shoulders and forearms, but the size 42 loses the "fitted" shape and I have a lot of space on the inside. Also, with the 42 the sleeves go longer and it doesn't sit as nicely on the shoulders.
I plan to wear long sleeved sweaters with this jacket and don't plan to layer. With fitted jackets, are you supposed to feel any tightness in certain areas of the garment? The 42, while larger, still feels slightly tight when I bend my arm, but is obviously larger.
