Scarring & How to FADE/Remove?

When I was a kid, I would get scraped up a lot since I like to play around often. My mom would warn me to not pick at my scabs, but I just couldn't resist. Now, I'm really regretting my decision to itch my scabs. I have quite a few scabs on my forearms, behind my deltoids (I think these were from some kind of acne-related problem), & on my calves.

What OTC products, home remedies, pills, creams, etc can I use to make the contrast between my skin & the scars decrease? If possible, what can I do to essentialy get rid of them?

Thanks

There are some OTC creams and ointments that claim to help old scars. Whether dermatologists believe they work is another story. Surgery usually can help.

I'm currently trying some exfol cream (salicylic acid) and copper peptides (super cop) from www.skinbiology.com. The scars I have are very, very deep and I am not good at doing this every day but it seems to be helping when I apply the exfol and then after a half hour or so apply the copper peptides.

Every once in a while I take a 50% glycolic acid solution (I got it from some make-up artist site) and put some on a q-tip and then touch it to the scar for 1 minute. This has helped shrink some raised scars.

It is a long process.
