So I live mostly in Chicago, where for 8 months of the year every day bears threat of serious rain or serious snow, if there isn't already a foot of snow on the ground. If it's very very bad, I wear black timberland boots, if its only mostly bad, I wear sno-sealed clarks db's. What I'm looking for is a good looking shoe or boot that is waterproof.
I know C&J Snowdon is waterproof, but I'm not crazy about the color for this shoe. What I'm wondering is if there's anything like trickers or Alfred Sargent country shoes that are waterproof. Or if there is anything else. I know people will suggest red wing, but those honestly look too much like workwear boots for me, and at 250+ dollars I would like something that I like. These don't even really need to be boots, but any help would be much, much appreciated.
