Yes - I am a douchebag who loves his Seven Relaxed fit jeans. I don't quite have the rockstar body type - mine is more on the larger size - if you want to call it that.

I think my seven's relaxed in size 32 fit perfectly right now although after one day of use they become loose again.

I am interested in trying out some other brands and perhaps some raw denim too.

Being in Toronto, I don't have a place to start to try on stuff which will no doubt be hideously overpriced. I would like to order something online, but sizing is a real concern.

As I mentioned before my favorite pair currently is my Sevens in size 32 Dark chicago wash. They make ****** look great - sue me !

Using these as a template - what brand, style and size should I try?

if a seven relaxed fits you just about any jean you can imagine will fit you given its not a skinny.

7FAM relaxed is a medium rise (mine measures 10.5") fairly roomy jean, not really baggy but it has plenty of room compared to most of my other jeans. Very comfortable, 100% cotton, nice and soft denim. Mine started out as a medium new york wash and is now a fairly light blue after 35-40 washes.

If you want something relaxed, Nudie Baggy Bjorns (which are probably cut a bit slimmer than Seven Relaxed), Rag & Bone RB1, APC Rescue (size down 1 from true waist), Uniqlo Greenline, would all work.

I think they're alive and well in Japan... I got mine a couple months ago from a forum member who had been traveling in Japan.

Thanks for help peeps - it is a regular relaxed fit:no low rise. My problem is larger legs which means even though the waist will fit, the legs sometimes look constricted.

Even the seven relaxed started off looking a little on the tight side, but now like I said before they are definitely relaxed looking and the waist is even causing the pants to fall now.

The APC rescue looks interesting - if I'm size 32 for 7FAM relaxed, is that size 31 in APC ?

I'm assuming it will be bone tight for the first little bit then stretch out later - correct ???

You should measure your true waist, then size down 1-2" for a relaxed fit. I think size 30-31 would be appropriate. You can get these from Denim Bar for $112 shipped, just ask for the SF discount.

I'm not really sure. 2000db told me he didn't see any when he looked, but I got mine from a guy that had gone to Japan this Oct or Nov, so they were at least still making them at that point in time. Just so you know, the cut is quite relaxed. the ones I have are at my true waist and they're by no means slim.

Oh man - I'm sure I measured right - exactly two inches below the naval (after dinner and at night - not morning when I'm smaller)

The tape said 34 - so I assume I am a 34 true waist.

Yet - my 32 sevens relaxed are very loose in the waist now after five days of wash use and the 33 exact same jeans, but in lighter material and different wash is loose to the point of always falling down and having to really pull the belt one notch more than I should creating a bad looking cinching effect. The size 32 does feel great in the legs area now though.

Anyway - I am confused - what size APC should I get then - I can post pics if need be - this is frustrating me right now. I don't wanna get a size 31 rescue and not be able to do up the buttons even initially. Should I go with size 32 even if that risks creating a totally loose effect which I am not going for? It seems unlikely that both pairs of 7 relaxed are measured wrong.

Maybe I will measure again in the morning. Then again maybe ten days of eating poorly and no resistance training is causing my body to sag in the wrong places.
