Obsessive if you wear non-irons in a A/C office and aren't obese.

I don't own any RL precisely because of this thread: too much confusion around what is the good stuff and cheap stuff and all that. Green label, purple, black? WTF is this, some sort of color coding shit you'd find at a menu at some fast food joint.

I want the path of least resistance when it comes to buying signifiers of wealth when it comes to clothing.

Now I'm confused.

"Launder" shirts? "Several" wears?

Why wouldn't they just put on a new bespoke shirt every day? I don't really know what happens to them after that. I assume the staff get them.

Sort of like the leftover wine on the table

I abhor this notion. This is like an anti-SF quote- eschewing understatedness for something that screams, "I'm rich". Sounds like something an Arizona State student would say.

I think you don't understand the intent.
Telling them you're wearing Hendrick & Jones is meaningless to them, since they have not heard of the brand.
So, it is more instructive and educational to simply tell them they are an English brand.
If they actually want to know more specifics, I'm more than happy to share details
This indicates to the layman they are not for general sale in the USA, and that they have a good eye for noticing your uncommon shoes.

Speaking of which, I got 4-5 comments about my outfit today, and I haven't even gone to my dinner party yet.
I BEEN HAD Darlton's! I BEEN HAD Mabitex! I BEEN HAD Trafalgar! I BEEN HAD Brooks Brothers! I BEEN HAD RLPL knitted tie!

I hope you are aware that Rugby, polo, RLBL and RLPL knit ties are the same tie except for the label

What are your thoughts on this bifurcation of a brand? Can someone rehash the distinctions between the various flavors & incarnations of this brand? Thanks.

What does lower class means? You must be one of those low life A**hole who doesn’t know who your father is and is mentally ill due to constant OD and live in a fantasy island thinking you are the king of all kings ..... and call people low class ! You should be ashamed of yourself. You do not need to know anything about RL. You need to go back to your doctor and take medications.

Pretty sure Reev is just trolling about "lower class people." He's just trying to get a rise out of people.

Who seriously walks around in real life and calls certain people "lower class"? I mean, Reev scoffs at the bigtimers here who shell out for expensive shoes. He can't possibly be serious.

Funny what hypocrites some SF posters are. They bash people for wearing certain styles of clothing (square toed shoes, giant untucked shirts, Cole Haan, Hugo Boss, black suits, etc) or tacky "fashion" brands, then turn around an insist anyone who recognizes class differences is an asshole. LOL. Either way, yet another Reev thread that clocks in at 100+. Obviously this topic strikes a chord with more than just me.
