Hey everyone,
So I am attending at black tie event in less than 2 weeks from now and I'm trying to determine what to wear. This is a big event. Just to give an overview, the president of my university will be there. Also several CEO's and corporate big shots will be in attendance, so I will be networking as much as possible.
I already have a black velvet tux jacket so I will be wearing that, but I don't know what else to pair with it. Should I wear a velvet bow tie also, or will a regular bow tie work fine? Also, is a cummerbund necessary? And lastly, what kind of shirt do I need to have i.e. pleats, no pleats, wing/point. Overall, I'm going for a look that's classic, but also will let me stand out the right way. Anyway, all additional advice is welcome.
