Have they moved or something? I always thought they where in the Bronx. Although I was rather surprised to see how popular the Yankees are in China, where they don't actually play that much baseball. Man United is popular here as well of course, as is Chelsea and anything to do with NBA, especially LA Lakers.

The Yankees got a new stadium right next to the site of the old one.

Re: the larger thread of Local NYC brands. What about...Calvin Klein? Kenneth Cole?

You could say 'they're not made here" but neither is Jay Kos or Herzfield. Design decisions are made here and clothes are made elsewhere.

There are a few tiemakers, shirtmakers and suitmakers in the NYC area -- Greenfield, etc. but definitions in this thread are pretty blurry.

Steven Alan:
NY-based. Select pieces are still made in the US. I dont know about NY-based.
