Brands: Small Sized Jumpers

I've done a forum search on this and had a little read of a few other threads -

Basically, I have a small(ish) chest which equates to about a 20/20.5 chest measurement for a perfect fitting jumper, at the moment the best fitting jumpers I wear are Lyle & Scott Vintage (size large) which is about 20.5" across the chest. I like Lyle & Scott but the logo is a bit garish and quite frankly I don't really want a large golden eagle emblazoned on every single one of my jumpers - so, does anybody have any recommendations on some decent brands that would accommodate that sort of chest measurement?

In most brands I can buy a small, which normally fits okay in the chest but then comes up too short on the sleeve or length; a medium, likewise, usually fits far too baggy on the chest and comes up really boxy (it's extraordinary how ill-fitting something can look even if the chest measurement is only increased by half an inch: I've tried mediums with a chest measurement of 21" and they look very boxy).

I've heard good things about John Smedley, but looking at the measurements they seem to go to one extreme or the other: 19" for a small or 21" for a medium; however, people tell me that the 21" medium tapers, so would that likely fit okay?

Any recommendations are appreciated.

As for price range, I really don't want to spend more that £70 on a jumper, and even then I'd begrudge that a little bit (sale prices are best!)

Uniqlo is okay but it isn't the greatest. Smedley looks good but was wondering how they fit? 21" across the chest would be okay so long as the arm holes are high and it tapers / is a slim fit.

There wasn't a really a deluge of input for this thread but I can sort of answer my own question for the benefit of others:

The best brand I came across in terms of cheapness against quality is House of Frasers own brand 'Linea' - their merino wool jumpers are normally £50 but 9 times out of 10 they're in the sale (like they are currently).

They're much better quality than Uniqlo and if like me you're a medium in Uniqlo, I'd recommend you go for a small in linea and they'll fit like a glove; superior in quality to Uniqlo, there's also a panoply of differing colours (around about 20, I believe). In the sale they're £25 so I'd say go for it.
