Durabiity of silk/wool blend sportcoat

Simple question: how does a silk/wool blend roughly 50/50 compare to 100% wool of good quality if both are made by Canali?

Dunno. Ought to be okay, since both fibers are known robust.

Hope so anyway; just got a gorgeous gray almost-glenn Kent jacket from the thrift, set to be my fave jacket when I finish shortening the sleeves. The stuff has an awesome hand, no? Like quicksilver, it's so smooth and supple.

I have a Hickey Freeman jacket (that is approximately the same blend) that has held up well so far. It is about 3 years old with no signs of wear.

A wool and silk blend cloth is beautiful and has a bit of luster. However, my experience with a Holland and Sherry blend has not been positive. I've seen more signs of wear with this cloth than with an all-wool cloth. it seems to be a somewhat fragile cloth. I wouldn't recommend this blend for a workhorse type of jacket.
