Are there any models that actually look good? Seems like they all have square toes. Also, what the different lines of ferragamo? Tramezza is the highest?

This was a gift from my boss. I kept it for a few months before I just sold it. It is pretty solid. Made in USA. You can't beat the quality. If I needed a sterling silver money clip I would buy a...

I just picked this up and I am pretty pleased. Just what I expected. I am pleased with the Bark. However, I wish it was a little darker. A great deal for $35. Comparable to other belts in the...

Ferragamo Loafers

Hey there,
An old topic - you'll find lovers and haters of Ferragamo. Personally, I like them. The loafers are not all 'square toe'. There are some cool driving mocs out there (similar to TOD's etc.). One time I found a pair of 'Ferragamo Sport' grey suede loafers on Ebay. Awesome. I lost them when I moved. As far as SF is concerned, my guess is that many members feel, because of the mass production, Ferragamo is a bit below the quintessential Italian brands - Berluti, Manina, Sutor Mantellassi (sp?), etc. , etc. MOdels? I like NERO and PRECIATO,.
Some cool deals on Ebay right now. Ciao.

In terms of quality Tremezza is the top of the line, goodyear welted range.
Ferregamo offers so many varieties of quality and style it's hard to say anything of a 'global' nature about the brand in general.
I was in their store in Rome a month or so ago and there were indeed some stellar models on the floor.
Much of what they mass produce for the major department stores here in the US is pretty cruddy and overpriced - I would only buy it at a good discount.
All of this being said I have a few pairs of loafers that I wouldn't trade for anything - they are so light and flexible that you can roll the shoe up into a ball and the leather doesn't show any creasing at all. The perfect shoe for casual days at the office in the heat of summer.
